Forekala connects to your bank through Plaid, the same technology trusted by thousands of financial apps. You enter your bank credentials directly with Plaid. Forekala never sees or stores them.
Read-only access
Forekala can only read your transactions and balances. It can never move money, make payments, or change anything in your accounts.
Encrypted everywhere
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, so it stays protected whether it is moving between systems or sitting in storage.
We never sell your data
Forekala earns money from subscriptions, not from your information. Your financial data is never sold or shared for advertising.
You own your data
Access, export, or permanently delete your data whenever you want. If you cancel, nothing is held hostage.

Not ready to connect a bank? The Free plan lets you track everything manually, with no bank connection at all.
How bank connections work
Bank sync is powered by Plaid, so your login never touches Forekala.
You log in with your bank
Choose your institution and sign in through Plaid's secure screen, not through Forekala.
Plaid returns a secure token
Forekala receives a token that authorizes read-only access. Your username and password are never shared with us.
Transactions flow in, read-only
Forekala uses that token to import and categorize your transactions. You can disconnect any bank at any time.
